Now the real question is why they don’t mail me that

Today’s deck is the Tarot Astral Ethereal Light

It’s quite pretty, actually.

Today’s reading say’s I’m close to the balance I’ve been looking for for a long time.

GOD I sure hope so…

Busy day ahead.

Main thing is paying my municipal tax. This is a payment I always forget and only comes to bite me in the ass when I gotta renew my visa.

However, I woke up at like midnight, so I’ll have to wait. So I decided to go to my office and finish some random paperwork before I leave the house for a couple of days.

HOWEVER, I decided on my way to the office to test my new camera loadout wioth Amane.

This is the loadout in question: OM-5 Mk.2 with a 75mm prime lens. I’ve had my eye on this specific model of brown OM-5 for a couple of years now, though I couldn’t begin to tell you WHY I found it so enticing.

Body plus lens plus flash weighs a total of 1.15kg.

Meanwhile, my regular EOS R6 with a 70-200mm lens and flash weighs 2.45kg. I love my EOS to death, but that kilogram is a world of difference if I’m hiking and such.

If you’re wondering about using a lens that’s not a zoom lens, all canon lenses are big and they mainly change in length, so there’s also a form factor element at play.

So anyways, I test it out and immediately I’m hit with the fact I forgot to tinker the settings. Big things like enabling the noise reduction and the photo preview, and also smaller things like adjusting the levels of saturation to my liking.

Beyond those details however, I see a future for this setup.

I also tested a new portable base I got a week ago and I love how compact it is.

Only complaint was the bug eating me alive as I tried to take pics, really.

I go to the office to work and that’s boring confidential stuff but the important bit is that I kill enough time until things open. On my way out I check the mailbox and find another bill I had to pay so I figured, fuck it, let’s carry it and I’ll pay it on the way.

So I head to the tax office and let muscle memory take me to where I need to go… then I make a fool of myself until the clerk realizes what I need.

I wait and I pay… I’m not gonna say how much I had to pay, what I’ll say is that it’s an amount that’s manageable monthly but at once spooks me.

I make my way back and the lawyer asks me to scan all ten payment stubs and fax them to the tax office… and also to pay another bill WHICH HAPPENS TO BE THE BILL I PICKED ON MY OUT LET’S GOOOOOOOO.

With all of that done, safe to say that I earned my short vacation.
