Long stopry short, today’s reading is calling me out on the old bits of trust issues lingering with me that have resurfaced against my will lately.
A while ago Calbee announced they were releasing monochrome versions of their snacks due to the oil situation going on.
It was an interesting move because despite it just looking like Big Poteto fucking died, it wasn’t really a protest move or anything weird, it was just “hey, ink supplies are harder to come by so we’re cutting on the colors for a bit”.
But even more interesting is that people LIKED the new packages, artists especially. It reminded me of this one chocolate that I forget the name of that artists draw on because the package is cardboard brown.
And so the monochrome pacjages will remain in circulation despite the situation being solved on that front for now.
I’ve seen the photos for a while and it was amusing to me that I only started seeing them close by AFTER the situation fixed itself.
Aside from that, I’ve been playing Supraland lately. It’s fun!
