Miyakojima 2026 Day 4

The adventure ain’t over.

Today’s reading is advising that if I get stuck I should get creative. But like… in the tone one uses in a heist movie.

Same plan as yesterday for today but instead of going to a nearby beach I took a cab to a different beach.

It’s called Yonaha Maehama Beach. I walked around looking for spots and ended up settling on a pier with the bridge I’ve had my eyes on since last trip right behind.

It was Luna and Sol’s time to shine, especially since it’d been a minute since I last changed my profile picture.

I then saw that it was a 10 minute walk until the bridge so I got a water bottle on a nearby vending machine and… and the sun hit the machine so hard that trying to get the bottle out proved hard since the metal bits were super hot.

This would be an omen of sorts. The walk to the bridge wasn’t HARD but with 95% humidity it proved… challenging.

I make it to the bridge and I start to nope out. The issue at hand isn’t Going, it’s the energy economy I’m running in my head of going AND returning and not knowing how avaiable cabs will be.

That’s been the biggest challenge this trip. Not a lack of energy or physical exhaustion, but being aware of what happens if I can’t find a cab on time because I walked one block beyond their service area.

I did try the drone for a few minutes though, so I’m happy I was able to cross that off the list.

I took a cab and it dropped me on the same beach I went to last time, Wai Wai Beach, and I took pics… but I spent most of the day chilling around, basically.

I got some steak on the way back and the day ended with me lowkey sorting my luggage so I don’t rush in the day of returning itself.
